Log Files

Fire Rescue Systems follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites and mobile apps. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website and mobile app, and gathering demographic information.

Mobile App Location Data Usage

Our Mobile App requests foreground and background location permissions to utilize the app’s GPS feature. The Mobile App works in conjunction with other software provided by Fire Rescue Systems. Fire Rescue Systems does not store any user location data on the mobile app or any other software we provide. Here is how the Mobile App utilizes the device’s location information:

  • When responding to an incident, the mobile app actively sends the device’s GPS location to another software, provided by Fire Rescue Systems, for a total of five minutes. Once the time limit is reached, the mobile app stops sending the device’s GPS location.
  • When the app is active and the app’s map screen is in the foreground. The mobile app sends the device’s GPS location to another software, provided by Fire Rescue Systems, until the map screen is no longer in the foreground.
  • The Mobile app does not access the device’s GPS location for any other reasons besides the ones provided above.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website or mobile app, Fire Rescue Systems uses “cookies”. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website or mobile app that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page or mobile app content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.

Advertising Partners Privacy Policies

Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Fire Rescue Systems, which are sent directly to users’ browser.
